The Red Bull Ring will have their 2nd female racing this year. Michela Cerruti will be racing the TCR International Series. She will be subbing in for Michel Nykjaer who will not be able to attend. The first female to ever participate in this event was Lucile Cypriano. Michela Cerruti will be the second female to race in this event along with another female who will be the third female to participate.
Michela has won races in the Auto GP single seaters in the years of 2013 and 2014. Before that she won Superstars International Series back in 2010 and 2011. Michela also participated and won the German VLN Endurance Series along with the Italian GT Championships. Although Michela is only 28 years old she has participated in events for the inaugural FIA Formula E Championship. These events are not commonly participated in by females, let alone young females.
