An all female automotive team from Cedar Shoals High School have been spending endless days and nights praticing and preparing for one thing —and it’s not Prom!  It’s compete in the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow’s engine building challenge in Las Vegas this November!
Team members Aza Wynn, Sharon Gonzalez, Amber Mann, Edna Bailey and Miranda Reid have it down to a science!  This all-female team has been clocked at just 15 minutes to tear down V8 Chevy 350!  The rebuild process takes longer, but these gals got it down to only 48 minutes!  That’s pretty damn good!
“All the valves have to be adjusted, and the valve timing has to be set right,” explained David Darden, teacher of the Cedar Shoals High School Automotive Mechanics Class,“Every bolt has to be torqued.”
In order to qualify for the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow National Engine Building Competition in Las Vegas this November, the all female team will need to speed it up by 14 minutes!  A challenge that we are confident they will succeed in!  We look forward to seeing these ladies this November!
