Car Chicks Take Over Byron Dragway During Ladies Only Drag Race

 

Car chicks from near and far all came together last weekend to compete at the Ladies Only Drag Race presented by Car Chix, Inc. at Byron Dragway!  It was a hot and humid day at the track with a chance of a complete wash out during the week, but female racers came out in full force for the Ladies Only Drag Race.  They meant business and the competition was fierce!
During the Car Chix Ladies Only Drag Race, 25 female racers entered the bracket-style drag racing competition and even more came out to support the event.  The women racers were able to chose between 3 different types of classes: Bike Class, Pro Class (vehicles 11.50 and faster) and Street Class (vehicles 11.49 and slower).

STREET CLASS WINNERS
1st Place – Toni Wilhelm, 1972 Ford Gran Torino
2nd Place – Danieyl Carpenter, 1965 Chevy Impala

PRO CLASS WINNERS
1st Place – Brooke Billeter, 1972 Chevy Nova
2nd Place – Melyssa Vincent, 1996 GMC Sonoma
 

In addition to trophies and cash payouts for the 1st and 2nd place racers, Car Chix gave away a number of awards and prizes!  The female racers in the Ladies Only Drag Race were able to compete for Best Burnout, Fastest MPH, Best Reaction Time and the Hottest Ride.  The Car Chix also gave out an award to the Best Dressed Back Up Boy!

All attendees were able to meet with the honorable ladies and receive signed hero cards, calendars and get their photos taken with their favorite Car Chix Calendar Women!
We want to personally thank everyone for coming out to the Car Chix Ladies Only Drag race at Byron Dragway!  The turnout and support for the event was incredible!  It was great to have some many amazing and truly inspiring woman together in one place.  We also we like to thank Byron Dragway and staff for their great hospitality.  They are a wonderful group of people that welcomed the Car Chix with open arms.  A big thank you goes out to the Car Chix Volunterss and  Official 2014 Car Chix Sponors — especially our 3-time title sponsors, Other World Computing / OWC Pro It!
