The NHRA Nationals are finally here at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois! This is the same track and event that Erica Enders achieved an incredible milestone for women in motorsports by becoming the first female to ever win the NHRA Pro Stock Class back in 2012. Two years later, we have reached the 100+ Pro Wins by women of the NHRA and are witnessing the revolution for women in motorsports.
On Friday, June 27th, NHRA Mello Yello Series and Route 66 Raceway will be hosting the “Women of NHRA Autograph Sessions” starting at 1pm. NHRA fans and attendees will be able to meet and chat with some of the top women in NHRA professional drag racing, including: the myth, the woman, the legend—Shirley Muldowney! The autograph session is schedule to happen at the blue Route 66 Fan Pit Tent near the NitroMall and run as follows:
1:00pm – Shirley Muldowney
1:15pm – Erica Enders
1:30pm – Angie Smith & Kandy Girls
1:45pm – Alexis DeJoria
