Car Chix will join Route 66 Raceway in the Light Up the Holidays Parade in downtown Joliet this Friday.  The Light Up the Holidays Parade is part of a large Holiday Festival sponsored by the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois.  Festivities begin as early as 9:30 A.M. on Friday, with the scheduled Tree Lighting at 5:15 P.M. followed by the Holiday Parade which is set to begin at 5:30 P.M.
Route 66 Raceway is one of the best known drag strips and racing facilities in the country.  Most notably,  Route 66 Raceway is where your 2014 Pro Stock World Champion, Erica Enders-Stevens claimed her first Pro Stock victory back in 2012 and made history by becoming the first women to claim a NHRA Pro Stock Win.  In what we are calling, “The Year of Women in Motorsports,” we couldn’t be more honored to walk with Route 66 Raceway during the Light Up the Holidays Parade.
Car Chix Calendar Features and Racers that will join in the parade include: Jeanette DesJardins, President & Founder of Car Chix; Miranda Lawson, Ms. January 2015 & 2014; Natalie Sorak, Ms. April 2015 & Ms. September 2014; Jackie Braasch, Ms. May 2015 & Ms. August 2012; Taylor Hanus, Ms. July 2015; Shannon Butler, Ms. March 2014; Tracey Szymanski and Georgina Buckley.
So grab the family and bundle up the kiddos and come on out to the Light Up the Holidays Parade and Festival!  It is sure to be a great time for the whole family.  For more information on the Light Up the Holidays Parade and Festival, including Parade Map and details on events, click here.
