Chi-town’s finest female grudge racer, Shannon Butler, is returning to the track in 2015!  Shannon Butler is an official member of Car Chix, the premier motorsports organization for women.  You may remember Shannon as Ms. March in the 2014 Car Chix Calendar.  You may also remember Shannon from a horrific and unfortunate crash she had during competition in the legendary Chi-town’s King of The Street Event, also known as, KOTS, back in June of 2014 (click here for video).
Since her accident, Shannon has fully recovered from her inquiries and her and her crew didn’t waste anytime this winter getting their new ride ready for redemption.  We must warn you folks, Shannon Butler’s new ride is set on kill and will be kicking ass and taking names this season — watch out boys!

“Right after my wreck, we didn’t know whether we had a car that was fixable or not. The first month after my accident was spent on my recovery and just really didn’t want to even look at the car, ” Shannon Butler explained, “Once we were able to go over the car we realized that it was fixable. Once we knew that there was no question that we would rebuild.”
Leaving the old ProCharger setup, Shannon’s four-eyed Mustang is now a Yates Headed 445 ci Alcohol Engine with twin BatMoWheel Turbos!  Yes, kids… we said TWINS!

Why the switch from ProCharger to Turbos?  After the wreck, Shannon’s ProCharger was severely damaged.  Although ProCharger was willing to help with a new one, Shannon and crew saw this situation as an opportunity to explore other options.

“We received a call from Wild Bill Devine at Bullseye Power. He invited us up to their shop in Michigan to show us around and speak with us. Lo and Behold We left with Turbos,” Shannon stated,”We can’t thank them enough for taking a chance on me.”
In addition to the new power adder of twin turbos,  Shannon’s Mustang is now a 25.1 E Double Frame Rail Car with a 4-link set-up.  Compared to Shannon’s old set-up, this is pretty much a brand new car!  New car, new things to learn!
“This years expectations are just getting in the car and learning everything about my new setup. Ask me this question later in the season and I will definitely say kicking some ass, ” Shannon laughed.
Shannon Butler and her crew consider themselves very fortunate and are really appreciative to everyone that has shown their support for them and their racing program over the years.

“We want to give a shout-out to Bullseye Power, Billet Atomizers, Motor City Solutions, MidWest FoxRods, SPI, US 12 Speed & Custom and The StickerDude,” Shannon says,”I also want to thank DRAW and numerous friends and family.”
