Fastest Woman on 275 Drag Radial, Georgina Buckley, Debuts New Car
DECEMBER 5, 2016 – CHICAGO, IL. – One of the fastest women on 275 drag radials, Georgina Buckley, is about to shake up the small tire world with a new race car debut. Georgina Buckley’s new ride was once one of the most notorious race cars in the drag radial world.
Georgina Buckley and her husband, Dave Buckley of Buckley Motorsports have been taking the drag radial and grudge scene by storm the last few years. This past 2016 season, Georgina Buckley was in the middle of what was set to be her most successful season yet holding the title of the fastest woman on 275 drag radials; locking in a career best ET of 4.63 @ 154 MP during the Ohio Valley Prize Fight. However, her season came to sudden halt after a horrific crash in late August during 15th Annual NMCA World Street Finals at Summit Motorsports Park when the throttle of her 1985 588 BBC Ford Mustang stuck open, resulting in her race car making several contacts with the wall.

While re-building Georgina Buckley’s prized yellow Foxbody Mustang, the team came across a game-changer. One of the most well-known and respected race cars in the drag radial scene popped up on radar. None only than the 2005 Mustang once driven by the one and only Puddin’, who, among many accomplishments, was the first woman to get in the 4’s in ⅛ drag radial racing. A blessing and a curse at the same time, as the re-build process of Georgina’s yellow Mustang progressed, more damage was discovered than originally assessed; concluding a complete loss.
Georgina Buckley will be debuting the 2005 Mustang come 2017 with a 588 BBC built and maintained by Jimmy Lopez of JLo Competition Motors. Chassis upgrades are being performed by Nick Tucci. The Buckley Motorsports Team is currently making minor adjustments to the pedals, wiring and ensuring the vehicle fits Georgina Buckley safely. Exterior changes are to be announced.
Come 2017, Georgina Buckley will be back in the small tire game. She will continue to compete in X275 drag radial events, as well as, 235. Competing not just with a vengeance, but with a new ride.
