Former NHRA Top Alcohol racer, Kate Harker is taking on the Queensland Drag Racing Championship this weekend at Willowbank Raceway in Australia!  Just as Kate Harker was tuned into the her father, Steve Harker’s NHRA win last weekend, we are sure he will be doing the same this weekend as his daughter competes in the Queensland Drag Racing Championship Outlaws Bracket.
“I am so proud of the achievements of both my mom and my dad,” Kate Harker stated to the Queensland Times in a recent interview, “They have worked incredibly hard to achieve this result and to do it with back-to-back event wins in the one weekend and set the ET and speed records is just stunning.”
In 2007, Late Harker claimed the title of ‘Quickest Female in NHRA Top Alcohol’ by running a 5.22 ET at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois.  In addition, Kate was the first non-American female to ever win a NHRA event.
“For me going into the QDRC this weekend I will be carrying this momentum and excitement with me to the start line on Saturday.  Along with all the lessons I have learned from my parents over my 18 years of competing in drag racing.,’ Kate Harker explained to the Queensland Times.
This is the Semi-final round for the Queensland Drag Racing Championship this weekend.  Kate Harker and his team will begin qualifying at Noon.  Good-luck Kate and crew!
