Car Chix introduces Carissa Casimer as an official featured member of Car Chix!  Carissa Casimer is Ms. May in the 2015 Car Chix Calendar, a spot she earned after competing against 398 other women in the 2014 Women of Motorsports Contest.  The 2015 Women of Motorsports Contest is scheduled to begin in the next couple weeks – stay tuned to CarChix.com for the latest!
Carissa Casimer is the proud owner of a 1995 Chevy Camaro Z28, known as “Blue Bombshell.”  Over the years, Carissa has won over 60 various car show trophies, including “Best of Women’s World, at World of Wheels, Chicago”, “Outstanding Paint” and “Best of Rising Star.” In 2007, she completed the Long Haul of the Hot Rod Power Tour.
“The car is not only a driver, but a show-er, and a go-er,” Carissa explained.
Carissa is from the northern suburbs of Illinois.  She was raised around cars her entire life.  Coming from a family of gear heads, even her name was derived from her families love for Cars — CARissa.
Carissa grew up watching her father and brother race cars.  Her mother loved Corvettes.  They family was a regular at car shows, in which they would bring Carissa.  As years passed, Carissa eventually met her Husband, Kyle at a car related event. “He (Kyle) was into this kind of thing too, so it progressed from there,” Carissa explained, “Next thing I knew, my life started revolving around this all the time.”
Not only did Kyle propose to her at the race track, when the time came to be wed, Carissa and Kyle’s entire wedding was focused on racing.  Everything from the table numbers being race tracks to the guest book being a spoiler for guests to autograph and write precious notes on.
A person’s car can say a lot about that individual. “Everyone’s personality comes out of their vehicles.  You are able to express yourself in paint work, small details, custom work, etc.   You don’t typically see two of the same of anything.  Each vehicle is designed differently, runs and performs differently, and handles differently,” says Carissa.
Carissa has always been a huge supporter of Car Chix and what we represent.  She encourages other women to stand strong and don’t be scared to be different.
“Don’t EVER let people bring you down.  Stay strong, and don’t be scared to prove yourself.  Sometimes you will have to prove yourself, and show you are just not another pretty face behind a wheel.  Be excited to be different! It takes a special kind of women to appreciate this hobby/sport.  Don’t be scared to get down and dirty working on cars.  Let yourself go, and enjoy the adrenaline rush,” Carissa explains,” Most of all, be a BADASS EVERYDAY!”
We look forward to seeing what Carissa and Kyle’s next accomplishments will be this year in the racing and car show world!  Best of luck Team Casimer!
