Car Chix announces Donielle Murphy as an official Car Chix Member and Ms. June in the 2015 Car Chix Calendar (order yours in the Car Chix Store — limited quantities available)! For the 3rd year in a row, Donielle Murphy competed in the Car Chix Annual Women of Motorsports Contest and finished in the top 12. This past year, there were nearly 400 female competitors from around the world.
Donielle Murphy is a professional hair dresser from the greater Chicago-land area. She is affiliated with Moeisha Motorsports, Rubbersoul Motorsports, RideChi and the World MotorSports Breast Cancer Foundation.
When she’s not at the shop, she is tearing it up on one of her street bikes. “I was riding as a passenger on the back on sportbikes and fell in love,” Donielle explained, “My friends brought me to the dragstrip and I loved supporting them so much that naturally I decided I needed my own!” Donielle is a proud and rider owner of a 2005 GSXR 1000 and a 2006 GSXR 600.
When asked what Donielle loved about motorsports, she credited the rush! “The adrenaline rush is what keeps me coming back and always wanting more. The need for speed you could say.” Motorsports changed Donielle’s life in more way than one. A number of years ago, she was involved in a tragic accident that could have ended it all, but she recovered, kept her head up and her passion going!
“The amazing people you will meet in this community is life changing,” Donielle says, “I’ve had my fair share of drama and burned bridges over the years, but I wouldn’t have the friends that I consider family now without motorsports in my life.”
