After earning a runner-up finish at the Route 66 NHRA Nationals in Joliet, Illinois, last year, Megan Meyer and her family-owned Top Alcohol Dragster were determined to walk away with the event win this year. This past weekend, they accomplished this goal. Megan competed alongside her teammate, Justin Ashley, who recently newly licensed to drive a Top Fuel Dragster. Megan and Justin finished out qualifying in the number three and ten positions, respectively, and Megan went on to compete in the JEGS Allstars Event on Saturday.

The JEGS Allstars Event is a battle of the champions of all of classes that make up the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series. Megan has watched her father, Randy Meyer, compete in the JEGS Allstars Event multiple times over the years, which he won in 2014. As a rookie in the event this year, Megan represented the Top Alcohol Dragster Class in the Central Region, alongside Dean Dubbin. Megan competed against Richard Bourke in the opening round of eliminations and took him out with a 5.30 E.T. at 266 mph. Unfortunately Megan ended her chances of winning the JEGS Allstars with a red-light start in the semi-final round against Mia Tedesco, finishing in third place for the event.
