Shannon Butler, grudge racing’s most feared female racer — all around racer — heads to ‘Sudden Death’ at Cordova International Raceway this weekend. A couple weeks ago, Shannon Butler (Official Car Chix Member – Ms. March 2014) and her prized Mustang ‘RedRum’ were expecting to lay it down and break some necks during the GLUED event at US41 Motorplex (Read: Grudge Racing’s Most Feared Female Heads to Glued at US41 Motorplex). However, due to Mother Nature, the race was cancelled. Let’s just say any loose ends will be settled this weekend!
Sudden Death takes place at Cordova International Raceway on Saturday, July 1st in Cordova, Illinois! Shannon Butler is expected to enter her Bullseye Twin-Turbo Small Block Ford 86′ Four-Eyed Mustang into the 28″ Tire Shootout! Yeah, yeah settle down kids — it’s a clocks off class! Meaning, you won’t see any E/T Times, but only be able to witness what horsepower really looks like! But we still stand by our word that Shannon Butler is the fastest woman in grudge racing — believe otherwise? Let’s line it up!
In addition to the 28″ Tire Class, the Sudden Death Event will feature a 26″ Tire Shootout, Street Car Shootout and more! Spectator admission is only $20, Children ages 6 to 12 are just $3 and Kids ages 5 and under are FREE!
Joining Shannon Butler this weekend will be her crew and Husband, Geoff, Milan Crncevic and Jason Langer. Rumor has it a couple other of the Car Chix gals will be in attendance, but I guess you won’t know unless you head out!
