Shelby Ebert Named Digital Marketing and Sales Coordinator at Heartland Motorsports Park

For Immediate Release: (February 19, 2018) Heartland Motorsports Park General Manager, Jake Schmidtlein announced that Shelby Ebert has been named Digital Marketing and Sales Coordinator.  Jake Schmidtlein said, “Shelby’s successful career in drag boat racing and her experience managing her own brand, Shelby Ebert Racing, LLC. made Shelby a perfect fit to the Heartland Motorsports Park team. Ebert is excited to join the Heartland Motorsports Park team and will play a vital role in continuing to grow the facility’s brand.” 

“Motorsports has been my biggest passion from the time I was a little girl, so I feel incredibly blessed that I am able to come on board with Heartland Motorsports Park and be involved with something that is so close to my heart,” stated Ebert. “I have so many fond memories of coming to the NHRA National Event with family and friends that I can’t wait to continue those traditions, but also work hard to promote all of the unique events that happen here and grow the track’s following bigger than it’s ever been.” 

Ebert has been racing with the Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series for 9 seasons and has successfully earned 3 Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series World Championships, as well as 2 Southern Drag Boat Association Championships. She currently competes in the Pro Modified class and plans on competing in the seven national events on the Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series 2018 schedule. She has been running Shelby Ebert Racing, LLC. for three years and has attracted Lucas Oil Marine Products as her title sponsor. Ebert will be graduating from Kansas State University in May with two Bachelor of Science degrees, in Marketing and Accounting. 

Digital Marketing is becoming increasingly important as the world becomes more technology-based. It is crucial for us at Heartland Motorsports Park to connect with our fans and participants through digital platforms so we can strengthen those relationships as well as attract new people to our facility. By doing so, we are able to continue to grow and bring more exciting events to Topeka, Kansas.


About Heartland Motorsports Park: Heartland Motorsports Park stands out as one of the world’s finest, multi-purpose racing and entertainment destinations. Located on the south side of Topeka, KS, the facility covers approximately 650 acres and provides ample room for its many racing and motorsports venues. 

The facility features a championship, NHRA-sanctioned 1/4-mile drag strip, four-level sponsor-suite tower, a 2.5-mile road course with four different configurations, a 3/8-mile banked clay oval, a 22-acre asphalt pad for autocross and drift events. A world class motocross track was also added to the complex in 2016. 

The 23-acre paddock area features a mix of asphalt parking and access roads as well as grass parking and camping areas for car shows, swap meets and other large footprint events.
