Sue Darbyshire is a 52 year old female who has been racing for the past 30 years. It all started when she and her husband, George, entered a sidecar race on their very first wedding anniversary. Sue is a Shipston motor racer with a 3 wheeler 1928 Morgan Super Aero. While she is a designer in the timber industry, she also lots of racing history. Sue has gotten 2 ‘Fastest Time of the Day’ at Glenwood in 2013. Sue also won the 2012 Klausenrennen International Hill Climb in Switzerland.
Sue is 1 out of 11 women who were invited to partake in the Chateau Impney race. The Chateau Impney Hill Climb is a renaissance race for the Chateau Impney back in the 1950s and 1960s. There are 200 competitors and 19 classes, out of Sue’s class she is the only female participating. Sue will be driving up against Bugattis, Frazer Nash, ERA and the Morgan RIP Special.  Sue Darbyshire is hopeful for a successful race.
