Motocross racing is nothing new to Vicki Golden and neither is racing against the boys. In 2011, Vicki Golden re-wrote history when she became the first female racer to ever qualify for a Arenacross main event. More recently, Vicki Golden became the first female racer to ever earn a license in Supercross.
“No one can say I can’t go to Supercross. I qualified just like everyone else who would be on the gate. I still have a lot to practice and work on, so if I do it, I’m going to do it next year when I’m 100 percent prepared. It’s a big step for me, and I’m sure I am ready bike skill wise, but mentally it’s just too big of a step right now,” Vicki Golden stated in a recent interview.
At the young age of 21, Vicki Golden is a very accomplished racer and a great role model to the younger generation. Some racers that are allowed to enter Supercross events are given a “pass” if you will. Vicki Golden did it through hard work and determination on the race track.
