Favorite Quote/Saying: This year has been all about the “big girl panties” lol.  My husband and I have worked this entire year on my new car.  Every day, every week, every month it has been something new.  I went from running 7.80’s in a street/strip car to 6.50’s in a real big girl race car.  So every time we have tested something new and different, not knowing what to expect, I find myself telling myself “put you big girl panties on, and deal with it”.

How did you get involved with automobiles/motorsports:  My husband.  When we met he raced his first car, a 67’ Camaro, and for years I just watched and supported his passion for drag racing.  I completely enjoyed being out at the track and hanging out with friends.  After 8 year of me just watching he asked if I wanted to drive his street blazer.  After 1 day of test n tune I was hooked. He dialed it in and I just went rounds.  We parked that beat up thing in the winner circle more times than I can remember.  After that season I had to have my own car and it had to be pretty.  That is when he junked the blazer and he built me my Camaro.

How long have you been involved with automobiles/motorsports: I guess I can say I have been involved for about 10 years all together.

What do you love about automobiles/motorsports: Everything!!! I love cars and trucks, I like the way they look, the way they sound, I like to know what is different, what is the same.******

What is your best car/racing/motorsport related memory: Racing my husbands 67’ Camaro.  During the 2013 race season I was competing hard for the 3rd place spot and my camaro broke. He could not fix it quick enough to make the next race, so he let me drive his car.  I went from running 14.50’s in the quarter to 11.70’s.  Talk about a big jump.  I felt very honored to drive it b/c not only is it his first car, but his dad also gave it to him, making it extra special.

What is your worst car/racing/motorsport related memory:  Forgetting to change my dial in correctly!!! OMG I was running quarter mile 12.02 and the car picked up to an 11.98…so I changed the .02 to a .98 and completely forgot to change the 12 to an 11…….I felt like the biggest goofball in the racing world.  Defiantly not one of my best moments.

What are your goals for the next season:  WIN RACES!!!! For next season I really want to focus on me as a driver.  This year we spent a lot of time on the new car.  It’s almost exactly where I want it, but besides that I feel like I overthink and second guess myself a lot.  I need to focus on being confident in myself when I get in the driver’s seat.

What are the biggest challenges for reaching your goals:  The TREE! We just can’t seem to get along.  Those lights coming down are not my friend, but I will get it!

Any big mods or builds going on during the off season: No, we did that this year.  Hopefully we will get a little tuning in and some rest….for the body and the bank account.

Do you have any other hobbies or passions:  Health & Fitness, I am a group and spin instructor at the local women’s fitness studio.

What are your top songs for when you are doing race car things/racing:

  • Sandstorm by Darude
  • Anything by Ludacris
