NHRA Funny Car Racer, Alexis DeJoria of Alexis DeJoria Racing and Kalitta Motorsports will be continuing her ‘Free Mammograms for Fans’ campaign this month to further continue the fight against breast cancer! This is the fourth year of the ‘Free Mammograms for Fans’ program. The program allows for fans over the age of 40 with an event ticket to receive a free mammogram on site, no matter what their insurance situation is.
During the upcoming AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals at the Texas Motorplex and the NHRA Toyota Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, fans will be able to receive free mammograms. This is a great program and we encourage all attendees to participate in either receiving a free mammogram and/or to come out to support the cause.
“The last three years with this program have been incredible. Alexis DeJoria Racing is committed to providing free mammograms as long as we are out on the race track. The outpouring of support for this program is astounding. Breast cancer awareness is a subject very dear to our hearts. Early detection is key, and being proactive is the best way to fight this,” Alexis DeJoria reported to Competition Plus.
The AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals at Texas Motorplex is scheduled to take place on October 14th and 15th. For this event, Alexis DeJoria is partnered with Bay Health to provide their mobile mammogram services. Nevada Health Care Systems (NVHC) is partnered with Alexis Dejoria and will be on site during the NHRA Toyota Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on October 28 and 29th to also provide mammogram services.
Alexis Dejoria encourages all women to stop by the ‘mammovans’ during the events and not to be shy! “We’ll all be out there supporting each other. We have a great group of women that come out and operate the mammovans,” explained Alexis DeJoria.
