The rematch that we have all been waiting for is finally happening!! CAR CHIX GRUDGE MATCH — THE REMATCH!!! Going down during No Mercy 10 at South Georgia Motorsports Park!! You were all there and witnessed history in the making at the NHRA Nationals at Route 66 Raceway May 31st – June 1st when Car Chix was invited to be apart of the Pro Show. Unfortunately, a little mishap happened in the finals — so lets finish this!!!
The Car Chix Grudge Match — The Rematch — will take place during the final round of qualifying during No Mercy 10 at South Georgia Motorsports Park. No Marcy 10 is October 17th – 20th! Lea Ochs and Georgina Buckley will battle it out to determine the final winner of the Car Chix Grudge Match during the final round of qualifying for the Ultra Street Class!! Georgina Buckley will go head-to-head in her 2005 Nitrous powered 2005 Ford Mustang against Lea Ochs in her Turbo powered 1978 Ford Fairmont Wagon!
Georgina Buckley races her 2005 Mustang out of the Buckley Motorsports shop in Lake Villa, Illinois. A veteran of Drag Radial competition, Buckley earned top 10 points finishes in NMCA’s Drag Radial category in 2011 and 2012, then did the same with the Midwest Drag Radial Association in 2014 and 2015. In 2016, Georgina Buckley held the title for the fastest woman on X275 drag radials. Georgina is also the only known woman to have earned a NHRA Wally on drag radials at the NHRA Unleashed event at Milan, MI in 2011.
Buckley’s Mustang, ‘Big Bertha’ is powered by a 582 BBC with a Fastlane Nitrous system and is equipped a 158 Powerglide Trans and Mark Micke shifter, Racepak data logging, Racetech seat, Jack Vanover Spec converter, Weld Wheels, Menscer Shocks, Mickey Thompson Pro Bracket tires. Lea Ochs, also known as, “Lead Sled Lea” calls Whitewright, Texas home. The Ochs Performance shop is where her 1978 Ford Fairmont Wagon, known as ‘Lead Sled The Resurrection’ was built. Racing in the No Prep world, Lea Ochs earned her first win at the March 2017 Doomsday No Prep event at Northstar Dragway in Denton, TX claiming True Street/Outlaw Street honors, becoming the first female to win a no prep event on a small tire and in a door slammer car. In 2018, Ochs took first place in the Annual Car Chix Women in Motorsports Contest and participated in Drag Week. Drag Illustrated Magazine also honored Ochs as one of 2019’s ‘Hottest Women in Drag Racing’.
Lea’s Fairmont is powered by an Ochs Performance LS 427 with Brian Tooley prepped cylinder heads, cast intake, and spec’d cam; a Nitrous Outlet Interspooler, and Precision Turbo and Engine Turbo Charger. Power is transferred by a Mr. Wendell’s built Powerglide with Sonnax internals, a Pro-Torque billet bolt together converter or a Freakshow Performance billet converter, depending on the powerplant being run.
