Over the past weekend, Courtney Force and her father, John Force make another one for the history books! The father and daughter racing team squared off in the Funny Car finals at the New England Nationals.
Courtney stated that her car was in ” a little bit of trouble….but I had my foot on the throttle hoping [John] wouldn’t catch up.” Courtney Force took the win at the New England Nationals, one week after her Father, John Force, claimed his 135th career win also making him the oldest driver to win a funny car event.
Courtney stated to the press that her and her father were both really excited after the race. “After the win, he came over and hugged me and congratulated me,” stated Courtney Force. This is only the second time in NHRA history that a father and child won consecutive NHRA events.
This is the second race that Courtney Force has won for the 2013 season. She has won a total of 3 races in her drag racing career which started in 2012.
