Courtney Force and Brittany Force both gave the men of the drag racing sport the run for their money the Toyota Nationals in Las Vegas, Nevada. Both sisters ended up in the semi-finals with their 3,000+ horsepower vehicles.
Brittany Force, number two in the points in the Top Fuel countdown, and the first woman to win the 4 wide race in Charlotte Speedway looked to take Vegas on a ride. In round one of Top Fuel Brittany Force laid down a 3.69 and landed a pairing against Doug Kalitta in the second round. In round two Force took the win against Kalitta, as Kalitta just idled down the track. In the semi-finals, it was Leah Pritchett with lane choice over Brittany Force. Force took the win over Pritchett and moved to take on Terry McMillen in the finals. In the finals, Brittany Force left the line too early off the line and resulted in a red light.  Force was hoping to add Vegas as her fourth win for the season. (nhra.com)
Courtney Force number three in the points in Funny Car countdown and eight-time race winner wanted to take Vegas by storm. Force is determined to get her first funny car championship this year. (John Force Racing) Force took on Arend in the first round and won against him. Alexis Dejoria defeated Cruz Pedregon in round one and took the lane choice in round two. Force took the win over Dejoria in round 2 and moved on to face Robert Height in semi-finals for the third time this season. Force had the lane choice over Height and ended up winning against Height. Force moved on to face Matt Hagan in the final round. In the end, Hagan took the win with a 3.94 to Force’s 4.02. (nrha.com)
