Car Chix proudly announces Angie Coots as Ms. June and as an official member of Car Chix!  Angie Coots earned her spot as Ms. June in the 2016 Car Chix Calendar after placing in the top 12 of the annual Car Chix Women of Motorsports Contest (Read: Car Chix Women of Motorsports Contest Breaks Internet).
Angie Coots is a female racer and automotive enthusiast from Harlan, Kentucky.  When she isn’t home wrenchin’ you can find her at her home track, London Dragway.

I’d rather lose by a mile because I built my own car, that win by an inch because someone else built it for me. Your car is your story, so don’t let someone else write the book -Moog from Mighty Car Mods

As a child, Angie always loved cars and had a passion for motorsports.  In fact, one of her favorite toys to play with as a child was a Hotwheels Service Station!  As an adult, this passion blossomed after she finally met someone that shared her same automotive passions; her now, Husband.
“Watching him and his family working on cars and racing them got me excited to start doing the same,” Angie Coots explained.

“The adrenaline rush you get when you are racing against someone is like a drug, you are constantly looking for the next race,” Angie Coots explains,”I think I enjoy working on cars as much as I do racing them.”
Angie Coots is a model Car Chick.  She is not scared of getting a little grease under the nails.  In fact, she actually built her own Camaro from the ground up!  Started with a body and worked her way up.  Word has it she later sold the Camaro for a Mustang. 🙂
“I love getting my hands dirty, If my car needs worked on I want to be the one that does it,” Angie says,”There something prideful in knowing that you are the one that figured out the problem and you are the one that fixed it.”
Angie knows and understands that everyone starts from somewhere and the best part is that journey!
“If you see someone starting out with the same interests as you maybe you could help them out, lend them a hand or give them some guidance if they ask for it,” says Angie,”As women we have a hard enough time in the automotive industry. We don’t need to tear anyone down, instead we need to stick together building each other up!”
She is dead on.  We all win and accomplish so much more by working together and building each other up, not tearin’ each other apart.  The only thing you should be tearin’ up is the race track!  Get it girl!
