Coming thru the water box now is….Ms. January –  Meg Ramsey

in her 1993 Ford Mustang powered by a Turbo LS.  Meg competes in the PSCA Limited 235 at Bandimere Speedway in Morrison, Colorado.
Meg has always appreciated cars yet it wasn’t until she met her husband that she began living the “car life.”    Meg spent the first 20 years helping her husband race and her favorite memory is, “When my husband was racing Outlaw 8.5 in Vegas and he was the first nitrous car to go in the 4’s. Our crew erupted!  It was fantastic!”   Meg wasn’t as fortunate as her husband – her worst racing memory came when she had a catastrophic engine failure and a couple weeks later her car caught on fire in the shop.  Meg was devastated.

Comebacks are so sweet though, in the summer of 2020, Meg won her first race, set the class ET and MPH record and succeeded in being the “Class Points Champion.”  She qualified #1 at all 3 PSCA Rocky Mountain Summer Series events.  What “impressive” accomplishments for her first year…Awesome job – Congratulations Meg!

When asked what Meg loves most about automobiles/Motorsports – she replied, ”I love the people!  There are so many exceptional people I have in my life because of racing.  Racing can be challenging, frustrating, joyous and exhilarating, but having the people to share that with makes highs and lows worth it.”

As with all cars, modifications are necessary and this year she will be re-wiring her car – “Not the most glamorous upgrade, but it will be great when it’s done” states, Meg.

“Be afraid and do it anyway” is Meg’s favorite saying.  Her advice to other women interested in getting involved in Motorsports is “If you love it, DO IT! It may appear to be a male dominated sport, but when it comes down… just people doing what they love!”

When Meg isn’t on the track you can find her with her children, grandson, Atlas, cooking or following the Holley discussion groups on Facebook.  “Since I’ve only been tuning my car myself for a couple years, there is a lot of great information there.

Thank You Meg for your time and Congratulations on not only being a Car Chix Calendar finalist but also for being featured on the cover!   We all look forward to hearing about your racing adventures in 2021 – Best of Everything to you!
