Shortly after winning the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Central Regional event, the Lone Star Nationals in Dallas, Texas, Megan Meyer drove her NGK Spark Plugs Top Alcohol Dragster owned by Randy Meyer Racing to the winner’s circle at the NHRA SpringNationals in Houston. This is Megan’s first time winning the SpringNationals, and the Randy Meyer Racing Team’s fourth, for a total of 25 NHRA National event victories.
Megan shocked the field with an outstanding 5.118 ET at 284 mph pass in the first qualifying session; Megan launched hard, kept it hooked up, and hit on all eight cylinders to tie the fourth quickest pass in the history of the class. This is her career quickest pass, and ties for the seventh fastest pass in the history of the class, while Megan still holds the title for the fastest Sportsman female
