Women who race want to race fairly, not get special treatment. Bernie Ecclestone is the Formula 1 boss. He would like to create a separate series for women only, although he is not getting the response he expected. Bernie thought the women would want this, but that does not seem to be the case. There have only ever been 2 women who competed in F1 and only 2 women who appear close to F1 ride. F1 is not commonly known for women participants.
When Bernie suggested the idea, he thought women racers would approve but when he interviewed a few he found out he was wrong. While interviewing 2 women in the NASCAR Next Program, Kenzie Ruston and Nicole Behar, he realized they both disagreed with him. The women don’t want a separate championship or series; they want to be the best racers, not the best ‘female racers’.
While Bernie states his ideas, people who don’t even race are against it. They believe that Bernie wants this to happen because it will bring in sponsors, attention, and money. People believe he isn’t doing this to better and help the female racers, but to better and help himself.
