Cheryl Hryn is kicking off this 2015 race season with a bang! Just last weekend, she competed at Grundy County Speedway and earned herself a double feature night and took home her first feature win! Cheryl is a competitive asphalt racer that races a 1988 Chevrolet Monet Carlo. She has been a long time member of Car Chix, the premier motorsports organization for women and is Ms. October in the 2015 Car Chix Calendar.
Due to a previous week rain out, Cheryl Hryn and crew were working against time to get in a double feature evening at Grundy County Speedway. During the first half of the first feature race, Cheryl was in the lead! Leaving the competition in the dust! Ultimately, she finished in 5th. Come the second feature race, Cheryl Hryn lead the race from flag to flag — overcoming 3 – 4 race cautions and staying focused, Cheryl was able to lock it in and earned her first feature win!

Cheryl Hryn and Crew will be out on the track full time this year and are dedicating their entire season and race program in the honor of Cheryl’s late granddaughter that suddenly passed earlier this year. Our thoughts and prayers are with Cheryl, crew, friends and family during this difficult time.
We are looking forward to Cheryl’s future races this year and are eager to witness what her and her team accomplish this 2015 season. Cheryl Hryn will be at the 2015 Car Chix Ladies Only Drag Race at Byron Dragway on June 6th. Be sure to stop by and say hello!
