The Red Bull Rookies was founded in Malayasia in 2008 after a successful female driver search that took place in 2007. The mission of the organization is to search, fund and nurture aspiring female drivers and provide women with motorsports talents, the opportunity to race at a professional level.
“The programme’s curriculum includes Defensive and Tactical Driving Courses – trained and evaluated by Asia Advanced Driving Academy (AADA) chief trainer, Kenvin Low, which tests your ability to handle tough situations both on the track and road,” stated the executive director of Red Bull Malaysia, Jyn Wee.
The ladies that are selected to take part in the Red Bull Rookies program undergo rigorous training to prepare them physically and mentally for racing, being track-side and everything that comes along with being a professional driver. The Red Bull Rookies program selects a new group of potential drivers every year!
