Ice Cream Cruise 2020 presented by 1320Video.com & Owners Pride is August 6th, 7th & 8th at Raceway Park of the Midland – The car show where ANYONE is welcome to show their car / bike / truck / SUV at this family event!
This years event is sure to entertain you end to end with racing over 3 different days, a HUUUUUGE car show on the 2 mile road course with cars lining both sides of the race track, we expect to have over 1500 cars this year with many FAST, rare, unique, weird, and beautiful rides! The event also features a dyno shootout, food vendors, a wild skid pad burnout contest Saturday afternoon and live music! This year any weekend admission will include FRIDAY as well as Saturday & Sunday. Kicking off ICC we will have a test & tune session at the drag strip, as well as a few classes in our “Cash Shootout” as a warm up to the rest of the weekend. Saturdays car show is what the event is known for, awards for each of the categories will happen Saturday night after the first round of our No Prep race. Sunday we will have a full day of drag racing and roll racing, wrapping up the event with our crazy Joe Hunt Memorial burnout contest! Event merchandise (shirts & stickers) will be available with all merchandise proceeds going to a local charity (TBD).

— IMPORTANT: (For show cars) The 2nd exit on I29 is now open, you can exit there and take the bridge south of the track to get to the event, spectators come from the north to make our entrances work most efficiently.
— Friday: This year is a 3 day event, all weekend admission tickets include spectator admission Friday night, come watch cars test & tune in preparation for Saturday & Sunday’s racing – we will also have a few cash shootout classes which you can sign up for on thefoat.com

ONLINE TICKET SCAMS – Beware of scammers attempting to sell fake tickets (primarily racer entries) – if they send proof of purchase there are typically typos such as “Race Park of Midlands” instead of “Raceway Park of the Midlands” – The amounts don’t make sense ($80.18 when tickets are $80 plus taxes & fees) and bad grammar (“You purchase 2 tickets”) because these scammers are horrible, not well educated people.

– CAMPING will be available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights at Raceway Park of the Midlands, no water or power hookups available this year. The camping area has moved, it will be just inside the drag racing gates NORTH of the ticket shack. You only need to pay weekend admission rates (pre-registered or at the gate (cash only)
– Please bring cash with you, it is cash only at the gate and some food vendors may have issues with cell service to run credit cards
– Rain: Saturday’s car show is RAIN OR SHINE – Unless we are certain of severe whether we plan to have the event as planned! Decisions on racing will be made shortly before they are scheduled.
– Dyno: There will be a dyno competition 11:00am-9:00pm by DC Dyno & Performance – $80 for 2 clean pulls, any additional is $20/ea to be added to the highest number pot (starting at $200) – The dyno will likely run until sunset but the prize will be determined by 6:30pm before awards.
– Music & DJ entertainment proudly presented again this year by HighLucyNation
– Food & beverages – Will be available throughout the show all day from a large variety of vendors!
– NO outside alcohol allowed, PERIOD.
– Advertising – Non-sponsor advertising is strictly prohibited (including branded tents)
– Pop-up tents – ALL tents MUST be secured well in case of wind to prevent damage to cars
– Pets on leashes are welcomed & encouraged!
– All cars are parked in the grass for the car show, not on pavement
– Motorized Vehicles PROHIBITED – ATV’s, RZR’s, golf carts are only allowed for show staff due to the amount of foot traffic. (Strictly enforced)
– Pit Bikes, Scooters, Mopeds, Groms, (bike sized transportation or smaller) allowed, 5 MPH speed limit strictly enforced. We unfortunately cannot allow for groups (5+) of mini-bikes to cruise with the number of spectators walking the show.
– Cruising within the show is prohibited for safety reasons, your car needs to remain parked unless you are leaving the show.
– Racing is STRICTLY prohibited anywhere on or off the property – local law enforcement is aware of the show and will be patrolling.
– Grills are not allowed at the show for safety reasons, there will be plenty of food vendors at the show to keep you fed!

This year we are having a “Cash Shootout” with 5 different classes (three car classes and two (TBD) bike classes we will announce later)
General cash shootout rules:
– Entry is $75 – $25 for the tech card and $50 going to the pot for the class
– Entry is only good for Friday, make sure you purchase the appropriate weekend admission for the car show or racing depending on what you want to do the remainder of the weekend.
– Track will be prepped

– Payout is 80/20 based on entry purse

DRAG RACE TECH —
Saturday when you arrive you will receive a tech card when your online ticket is scanned, we highly recommend you pre-tech your car by:
1. Fill out your entire tech card and leave it on your windshield, the tech staff will come by and tech your car in the car show between 3-5:30pm. (Make sure your tech card is filled out so it can’t be stolen and used by someone else)
2. After the car show (6:30-8pm) you can go to the tech shack (located just inside the drag strip entrance you take your first left to the small building if you were driving into the track)
3. If you miss pre-tech you can tech in Sunday morning, be prepared for a line. Tech Sunday is 10am-12:30pm, if you are late you will not be allowed to race.

— Drag Class Rules —
– ALL racers on the drag strip must complete NHRA tech before racing – http://i29dragway.com/rules/basic-safety-rules/
– .4 pro tree will be used all day
– All CAR class racers must complete a 5 lap cruise of the road course prior to first round.
– Before 4:00 make as many passes as you would like and turn in your quickest time slip in the event center near the restrooms. We will divide the quickest 32 cars into two 16 car classes, one 16 car field for the slowest qualified,
– *** PLEASE *** Turn in your time slip as early as you can to help us with organizing classes on time, do not wait until 4:00. Time slips received after 4:00 will not be considered.
– We will announce when you can see the posted class qualifiers, then call classes to the lanes individually.
– Each car in each class will not be able to run quicker than .2 quicker than the quickest time slip turned in for that class (1st-16th quickest, 17th-32nd quickest, and quickest of the slowest 16 car class) – (The tree will drop at the same time for both)
– All cars & bikes must comply with track safety rules see details on i29 Dragway’s website (At a MINIMUM – Pants (not shorts), Good tires, a solid battery hold down, radiator overflow reservoir, functioning neutral-safety switch, all lug nuts, seat belts, and a valid state driver’s license or NHRA competition license, and typically a helmet (8.59 or quicker in the 1/8 mile) for all participants.)
— Roll Race —
– Presented by Midwest Association of Car Enthusiasts (M.A.C.E)
– Cars / Trucks / SUV’s only – No bikes for roll racing
– Long pants & Snell 2010 helmet required for ALL racers
– Closed toed shoes
– Basic self tech (No leaks, battery is secured, car is EMPTY, brakes work well, etc…)
