Car Chix, the premier motorsports organization is celebrating their 4th anniversary! Car Chix was founded in January of 2010 by Jeanette DesJardins as a way to recognize the hard work and accomplishments of women involved in motorsports and the automotive industry while inspiring women world-wide to pursue their passions in the motorsports and automotive industries!
Over the past 4 years, Car Chix has rapidly grown into something that was never imagined. Originally, the Car Chix website was launched in 2009 as a photo album driven forum where local female racers could share photos of their cars and automotive tips and tricks. Within a week of the website launching, it crashed because of high volume website traffic and the server could not handle all the horsepower (hahaha)!
After 2-3 days of sleepless nights in between finals (yes, still in college & working full time), Car Chix was relaunched with a better interface and on a bigger server. Within 6 months, Car Chix was a international phenomenon and the Car Chix were planning their first ever action packed drag racing event, Racing for a Cure a Quarter Mile at a Time. This event ending up breaking attendance records at one of the oldest operating drag strips in the nation, Great Lakes Dragaway and raising thousands of dollars for breast cancer!
Car Chix has come along way since then… countless successful events involving ladies only drag racing, car and motorcycle shows, charity fundraisers and more! Car Chix continues to grow and is sought out as a major media and promotion outlet for women in motorsports and the automotive industry.
We would like to say THANK YOU to all of our members, supporters, fans and sponsors that have stuck by our side and continue to support our organization. As a small token of our appreciation, Car Chix is offering up to 50% off on the most popular items in the Car Chix Store from now until January 31st — while supplies last!
