Corry Weller has teamed up with Team DragonFire for 2016! Valentine’s Day Weekend was Corry Weller’s first debut with her new sponsored team. She qualified 1st in the SR1 Class and finished 3rd place during the main event.
“I am super excited to be working with DragonFire Racing and Yamaha Motor USA for the 2016 season in the Production 1000 class,” Corry Weller stated in an interview with Motorcycle Power Sports News.
Corry Weller will be competing with Team DragonFire in the 2016 Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series in Arizona and California. Other events are to be announced later this year by Team DragonFire.
In 2015, Corry won both Arizona and California Lucas Oil Regional Series Championships for the 5th and 6th time respectively. In 2007, Corry crossed over from motocross to Utility Vehicle Racing. She has earned a number of historic wins over time. For example, Corry Weller was the first female to earn a podium finish in a UTV at CORR. In 2010, she was the first female to earn a LORORS Title. She also became the first woman to race a PRO 4 truck in 2012.
Corry Weller brings great experience to her team as a driver and we have no doubt she will continue on her winning streak with Team DragonFire throughout 2016.
