Love her or hate her, Danica Patrick is one of the most successful women in motorsports. She has competed in NASCAR for the last couple years — finishing in the top ten twice and thought to be the most successful woman in American open-wheel racing.
Danica Patrick races in NASCAR for the Stewart-Haas Racing Team. The Stewart-Haas Racing Team is owned by Gene Haas who has recently announced that he will be starting a brand name Formula One Racing Team that is set to debut in 2016.
“She’d bring an awful lot of viewership, I think it’s be great for America. I think she would be a great candidate,” Gene Haas of Stewet-Haas Racing stated in a recent interview with a NBCSN commentator during the Canadian Grand Prix.
Come 2016, Danica Patrick could potentially become the female face of Formula One. I wonder what Sterling Moss would say about that…
