The Lotus Ladies Cup is a all female racing team that was started by Adrienne Bende, former Miss Hungry and Miss Universe beauty queen, in 2011 to promote women in racing.  The female racing team , the Lotus Ladies Cup is a FIA recognized race that comprises of 14 women racers that reach speeds in excess of 200kmph.
“I look at it as a story of a beauty queen who wanted to look beautiful, and also to drive fast cars. I have always had a thing for cars and even when I was chosen Miss Hungary, I used to sneak out to drive. And after my modeling career was over, I decided to follow my passion and started to drive cars as fast as I could, and I continue to do so,” stated Adrienne Bende in a recent interview.

The drivers of the Lotus Ladies Cup are from Scandinavia, East Europe and Latin America.  They are currently racing VW Polos at sanctioned F1 tracks and their equivalents.   As of now, the Lotus Ladies will be competing in Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, The Netherlands and Dubai in 2014.  With the possibility of landing a race in India.
