Valerie Thompson is a 7 time land speed record holder. Valerie also does some charity work. She lends some of her time to charitable organizations that help children overcome their personal challenges. In 2011, Valerie received the “American Women Riders Community Hero” award for all of her help and support with HopeKids.org. Valerie also loves to race and has a person best recorded speed of 217.7 MPH that she set in 2014. She recently got a new sponsorship from Quicksilver Powersports Lubricants.
Valerie recently partook in the El Mirage Dry Lake Bed where results have yet to be released. The event she participated in was called the Southern California Timing Association’s Land Speed Racing Event. Her bike was raced in the APS-G Class. Valerie went with hopes to become the 1st female motorcyclist to earn a spot in the famed “El Mirage 200 MPH Club”. She wants to be the 1st ever female motorcyclist in the famous record.
