Help Holly Springs Motorsports Drag Strip

As many of you may already know, the Holly Springs Motorsports Drag Strip was hit by a tornado the day before Christmas Eve.  The Holly Springs Motorsports Drag Strip is completely destroyed, as is the homes of their owners and some of the staff members, family and friends.  We can’t imagine what they are going through right now…
The Holly Springs Motorsports Facebook Page has been being updated regularly with progress.  It is devastating.
Back in 2013, my fiance and I headed down to Holly Springs for the first time.  During this time, we had terrible flooding here in the Chicago area.  Everything was shut down, people were losing their homes.  There wasn’t anywhere to really go.  We knew about this big race happening down at Holly Springs — Spring Shootout?  We loaded up the trailer and headed out.  The crew at Holly Springs Motorsports rolled out the red carpet if you will… they were the kindest and most generous people we have ever met.  We never felt so welcome so far away from home before.  It was one of the best times of our life.  Weeks after the race, we even received a letter from Jabbo, thanking us for coming down to the track.  How many times has that ever happened after you raced somewhere?
 


With that all being said, the racer and car culture is strong.  We are a family like no other and we always come together in a time of need.  And that time is now.  Our family and friends at Holly Springs Motorsports Drag Strip need our help.  With track cleanup underway, they are currently accepting PayPal Donations at: hollydrag1@hotmail.com.
In addition, the Holly Springs crew is pretty much starting over.  They have lost full homes and vehicles and members of their community.  They are seeking out basic necessities, such as toiletries, clothes, household items, etc.  The owners who lost their home also have 2 small dogs they need to provide for.
