ACCOMPLISHMENTS/ACHIEVEMENTS:  That my car stayed in one piece this season 🙂

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS:   2018 was not a good season for me.  We ended 2017 with winning 2 championships and with the ups, there are always some downs.  That is what 2018 felt like for me.  From the first race of the season in April, we fought issues with my car.  Due to weather and race cancellations, I only made it out to 5 races this season and same with Dave.  So that in itself was rough going let alone not knowing 100% if we fixed my problems.

FAVORITE QUOTE/SAYING:  Good, better, best.  Never let it rest.  ‘Til your good is better and your better is best.

HOW DID YOU GET INVOLVED WITH AUTOMOBILES/MOTORSPORTS:  My father was a mechanic.  I used to sit in the garage with him while he worked on his hot rods and would help clean his cars for car shows.  I always wanted a race car but wasn’t able to get one till I met my husband (then boyfriend) back in 2007. I bought my race car in 2008 and the rest is history. I now race with my husband and father in law all over the midwest and have been for the last 10 years. It has been an amazing ride.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED WITH AUTOMOBILES/MOTORSPORTS:  I have been into racing for 15+ years I have been racing for 10 years.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT AUTOMOBILES/MOTORSPORTS:  I love the friends that I have made in so many different states that I call my racing family.  It is amazing the bond that is built over the years of racing with people and comradery  that there is.  We may go a year with out seeing people but pick right up where we left off the last time! It is a special bond and those in the racing world know exactly what I am talking about.

WHAT IS YOUR BEST CAR/RACING/MOTORSPORTS RELATED MEMORY:  Winning the 6.50 index championship with OSCA in 2017

WHAT IS YOUR WORST CAR/RACING/MOTORSPORTS RELATED MEMORY:  Watching my husband wreck his car.

WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR NEXT SEASON:  I am hoping 2019 will be better as I will have to figure out where I will be calling “home” for my racing as Dave will be traveling all over the place with the DXP235 circuit and I unfortunately can’t piggy back at any of the races 🙁 So we may check out the River Redemption series or go back to good ole Byron for the Midwest Index Series. (Check back with me to get updates 🙂 )

WHAT ARE THE BIGGEST CHALLENGES FOR REACHING YOUR GOALS: None as I am just trying to find a new home 🙂

ANY BIG MODS OR BUILDS GOING ON DURING THE OFF SEASON: Nope – Just tucking the cars away for a winter nap and getting Stormtrooper ready for Lights Out 10 in February

DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER HOBBIES OR PASSIONS: I used to be an avid bowler but injured myself a few years back and stopped bowling in leagues and tournaments.  I have recently got into trap shooting with the hubster so we will see how that goes as it is something to do on our off weekends and during the week!

WHAT ARE YOUR TOP SONGS FOR WHEN YOU ARE DOING CARS THINGS / RACING:  Depends on the mood of the 2 of us hahaha! If it is a thrashing deal – no music lol If it is a typical day at the shop then it can range from EDM type music to some good ole country.  We both love all music so the bluetooth speaker goes on and we hit shuffle on the phone!

IF YOU GOT A MILLION DOLLARS TOMORROW, WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH IT? Buy a bunch of land, build a house and pole barn, then build an animal sanctuary so I could rescue as many animals as I could!

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE BLOGS, WEBSITES OR SOCIAL MEDIA PAGES THAT YOU FOLLOW?  I don’t have favorites as I follow a ton of different racing related pages so anything to do with Drag Racing, Dirt Track Racing, Cats, Dogs, 🙂 🙂 🙂

ADVICE TO OTHER WOMEN IN MOTORSPORTS OR WOMEN INTERESTED IN GETTING INVOLVED IN MOTORSPORTS:  If you want it, go for it.  Nothing should stop you or stand in your way.  There may be some bumps in the road but don’t ever let them knock you off your path.
