Please join us in welcoming Holley Hollan to Team Car Chix — Ms. December in the 2018 Car Chix Calendar.  Holley Hollan placed in the top 12 of the 2017 Women of Motorsports Contest (Read: Record Breaking Women of Motorsports Contest Takes Over the Internet), earning her spot as Ms. December in the Chicago Intermodal Trucking Company sponsored month of the 2018 Car Chix Calendar.

As a 15-year old fourth-generation racer, Holley Hollan has quickly risen throughout the racing ranks in her short, yet successful career. A native of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Holley began her career at the age of five while competing in Junior Sprints.

Grasping her talent, the driver affectionately labeled as “Holleywood” started off strong as he she scored 14 feature victories and the track championship at Port City Raceway in Tulsa, one of the toughest weekly micro sprint scenes in the country. Graduating to a new division, Holley began racing in the Restricted A-Class division, where she would continue to hone her skills and rack up several feature wins across the country.

At the young age of 15, Holley has proven 2017 to be a huge year for herself and her career. Claiming multiple wins in the USAC NOW600 National Micro Sprint Series in the stock classes of A-Class, Non-Wing and also steeling a Non-Wing Outlaw win at Southern Illinois Raceway this past weekend! She quickly proved her capability while continuing to climb the racing ladder.

Moving into the highest-tier of micro sprint racing, Holley recently began her career in the Outlaw division, competing with the nation’s best while traveling all over the country. Racing in places like Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and California, the ever-improving 15-year old has already earned a load of confidence and momentum.

Most recently, “Holleywood” took a huge step in the progression of her career, as she climbed behind the wheel of a full-size midget for the first time. Wheeling from 20th to 9th in her first-career main event, she instantly brought her talent to the next level.

Off the racetrack, she has proven to be a diligent worker while helping her father’s business venture succeed on countless levels. Driven Midwest, a speed shop and micro sprint chassis manufacturer, began in November of 2015 under the guidance of the Hollan family and has taken off with enormous success.

Nearing the end of the 2017 season, Holley will continue to travel around the country while competing in the biggest micro sprint events of the year. She’ll continue to sneak in a few midget shows all while helping the family business continue to grow and expand.

HOW DID YOU GET INVOLVED WITH AUTOMOBILES/MOTORSPORTS:  With my Dad racing, I have always been around the atmosphere, I didn’t know any different and it stuck with me.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED WITH AUTOMOBILES/MOTORSPORTS:  I have been around racing since a young age.  I started when I was five (5).

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT AUTOMOBILES/MOTORSPORTS:  Nothing compares to the thrill being in a racecar.  Being with my team every week and weekend is truthfully a dream come true.  My crew is my family, my teammates are my best friends.  There is nothing more I enjoy than seeing a smile on my parents and crews face after a successful night….But, even on the tough weekends, they never give up on me.

WHAT IS YOUR BEST CAR/RACING/MOTORSPORTS RELATED MEMORY:  I went to a Memorial race in Southern Illinois, I won the Non-wing Outlaw feature, which was definitely an exciting moment.  When I got back to the trailer and changed, I had four (4) younger kids come up to me asking for some shirts, I signed them and thanked them for coming by.  On Sunday, I learned that the kids I met were there for their granddad’s memorial.  My mentality is to always make time for the people and fans who support you, but this one hit closer to home.

WHAT IS YOUR WORST CAR/RACING/MOTORSPORTS RELATED MEMORY:  Hearing about two (2) role model; Donnie ray Crawford and Bryan Clauson passing away, was heartbreaking and an unreal feeling.

WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR NEXT SEASON:  I hope to run full time with the National Powrl Series and work toward a Championship, while continuing to promote Driven Midwest!

WHAT ARE THE BIGGEST CHALLENGES FOR REACHING YOUR GOALS:  Allot of hard work and time.

ANY BIG MODS OR BUILDS GOING ON DURING THE OFF SEASON:  Before our biggest race of the year, the Tulsa Shootout, we have three (3) cars to build and allot of preparation!

DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER HOBBIES OR PASSIONS:  I enjoy meeting with kids and talking to them about the importance of staying on the right track toward their goals and dreams.  I train twice a day and enjoy doing yoga for physical and mental strength.

WHAT ARE YOUR TOP SONGS FOR WHEN YOU ARE DOING CARS THINGS/RACING:  “Do What I Want” by Lil Uzi and “unforgettable” by French Montana.

IF YOU GOT A MILLION DOLLARS TOMORROW, WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH IT?  Donate to charities for kids with Cancer, buy my parents a beach house and give them everything they deserve.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE BLOGS,  WEBSITES OR SOCIAL MEDIA PAGES THAT YOU FOLLOW?  I follow allot of Inspirational pages and fitness!  I enjoy hearing about others perspective of goals and determination.  Someday, I hope to make my own motivational videos.

ADVICE TO OTHER WOMEN IN MOTORSPORTS OR WOMEN INTERESTED IN GETTING INVOLVED IN MOTORSPORTS:  Being a girl in racing you are are categorize into the same group.  You must work and earn respect for yourself, while still having the normal racer stuff to worry about.  Don’t give up just because people see you differently.  You have just as much right to be where you are as anyone.  Keep your head high and smile.  Enjoy the journey of doing what man girls are not able to endure.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH THE CAR CHIX COMMUNITY:  A big thank you to you all for supporting girls in racing.
