SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: New Motor!!!!! My upgrading and new build is finally complete

HOW DID YOU GET INVOLVED WITH AUTOMOBILES/MOTORSPORTS:

As a little girl I helped my uncle build racecar model kits.  I always watch racing on The Wide World of Sports.  When I met my husband he promised to build me my own racecar.  For our 1st anniversary he gave me a steering wheel.  And the rest is history.  I had never driven a golf cart or even a lawn mower before.  But he taught me everything I know about racing.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED WITH AUTOMOBILES/MOTORSPORTS: 8 years

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT AUTOMOBILES/MOTORSPORTS: The competition that lies within yourself while bracket racing.  Meeting different people who all become your extended family.

WHAT IS YOUR BEST CAR/RACING/MOTORSPORTS RELATED MEMORY:

Seeing my parents in the stands for the very first time at a race.  I was in the finals for the Walley, all I could see was their faces light up after I did my burnout.  Priceless!!!!!  They know nothing about racing.  The icing on the cake was that I won the event and had to explain to them what a Wally was.

WHAT IS YOUR WORST CAR/RACING/MOTORSPORTS RELATED MEMORY:

Dropped driveshaft while crossing finish line, still won the round, got out of vehicle to turn power off and the track sent the next pair down.  I waved my hand and jumped on the wall.  Nobody & no racecars were injured.  It just scared everybody!  I was proud to know I could jump that high!!

WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR NEXT SEASON: Move up from Street Et to Footbrake (Mod Et)

WHAT ARE THE BIGGEST CHALLENGES FOR REACHING YOUR GOALS: Learn my whole new set up.  Bigger faster motor.

ANY BIG MODS OR BUILDS GOING ON DURING THE OFF SEASON: Just finished up.

DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER HOBBIES OR PASSIONS: Sewing, running, arts & crats, watching NHRA, NASCAR, Alabama Football and the PBR

WHAT ARE YOUR TOP SONGS FOR WHEN YOU ARE DOING CARS THINGS / RACING: “this girl is on fire”

IF YOU GOT A MILLION DOLLARS TOMORROW, WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH IT?: Donate to Veteran’s Homes, and buy myself a motorhome to take all the back roads and travel to small town racetracks all over the country to extend my racing family.

ADVICE TO OTHER WOMEN IN MOTORSPORTS OR WOMEN INTERESTED IN GETTING INVOLVED IN MOTORSPORTS:  You can do it, but don’t go down the track unless you can commit to the sport, because once you go down the track you will NEVER Quit.
