FAVORITE QUOTE/SAYING: “Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire” -Jennifer Lee
HOW DID YOU GET INVOLVED WITH AUTOMOBILES/MOTORSPORTS: My involvement with motorsports began at the age of 10 when I sat down to watch the Daytona 500 with my dad. I was unfamiliar with NASCAR at the time but I quickly gained interest in it. When my dad told me that there was a female driver I was hooked! He told me that I could race cars too and I couldn’t believe that women could be race car drivers. I attended an arrive and drive for quarter midgets a month later and begged my dad to get me a car. A month later from that I had my first car and that’s when my passion for racing began!
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED WITH AUTOMOBILES/MOTORSPORTS: I began racing Quarter Midgets in 2015 and I made the switch to Micros in 2018. I’ve been racing for 5 years!
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT AUTOMOBILES/MOTORSPORTS: My favorite part about racing is the adrenaline rush you get right before going out, the competitive nature of the sport and the thrill of victory!
WHAT IS YOUR BEST CAR/RACING/MOTORSPORTS RELATED MEMORY: My best racing moment would definitely have to be winning the 2019 points championship. My team and I worked hard before and during the season to put the best car possible out on the track and I couldn’t be more proud of myself or my team for everything we accomplished.
WHAT IS YOUR WORST CAR/RACING/MOTORSPORTS RELATED MEMORY: My worst racing memory would have to be running out of fuel with 3 laps to go while attending Shellhammer’s in Leesport, Pa. I had a rough heat race that night and unfortunately finished last. When I went out for my feature I was doing a great job passing cars and I made it to the top 5 when I ran out of fuel. I was pretty upset but I was able to rebound from it and win the following race at Airport Speedway.
WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR NEXT SEASON: My goals for the upcoming season are to be competitive in the 270 class and possibly branch out and try other types of cars.
WHAT ARE THE BIGGEST CHALLENGES FOR REACHING YOUR GOALS: My biggest challenge would definitely have to be moving into a new class with more competition.
ANY BIG MODS OR BUILDS GOING ON DURING THE OFF SEASON: An engine rebuild on the 270 motor and a new look for the car.
DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER HOBBIES OR PASSIONS: Some of my other hobbies are crossfit, cooking, skiing and fishing. I also enjoy going to the beach and mountain while spending time with family and playing with my two cats and dog.
WHAT ARE YOUR TOP SONGS FOR WHEN YOU ARE DOING CARS THINGS / RACING: We listen to alternative rock music when working on the car.
IF YOU GOT A MILLION DOLLARS TOMORROW, WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH IT? I would put the money into a 410 sprint car operation so I could pursue my racing dream.
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE BLOGS, WEBSITES OR SOCIAL MEDIA PAGES THAT YOU FOLLOW?: I’m a big fan of following other women in motorsports and keeping up with NASCAR, USAC Midgets and Sprint Cars.
ADVICE TO OTHER WOMEN IN MOTORSPORTS OR WOMEN INTERESTED IN GETTING INVOLVED IN MOTORSPORTS: Never take no for an answer and don’t give up. If you can dream it, you can do it. Nothing is Impossible!
ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH THE CAR CHIX COMMUNITY: I am grateful for the opportunity to be selected for the Car Chix 2020 Calendar. I am proud to be affiliated with an organization that supports and helps women in motorsports.
