Milka Duno (pictured) above became the first woman to win the Talladega Pole since 1988 last Thursday.  It came as a big surprise after the original pole winner, John Wes Townley failed a car inspection after the Thursday Qualifying session.  Ultimately, giving up the pole position to Milka Duno.  The last woman to win the Talladega pole position was Patty Moise in 1988.
Milka Duno is experiencing a great season thus far.  She qualified second for the ARCA International Motorsports Hall of Fame 250.  About 2 weeks ago, Milka Duno had her career best finish at 8th place in Salem.  This is also her first full season in ARCA with her new team, Venturini Motorsports.
“Now, I have continuity, and we’re a good team,” she said. “When you have a good team, this is what you are able to do, because the car is there, the team is there, the engineer and everybody.  That is what I’m showing now, what I’m able to do with good equipment,” stated Milka Duno is a recent interview.
